Comments from his or her head coach
I have only had the pleasure of coaching Megan for this one season, but I didn’t need very long at all to realize what a special young woman she is. I’ve been a head coach for more than 20 years and can’t remember ever having a player more driven to succeed than Megan.
She is incredibly nice, polite and humble but at the same time an incredibly fierce competitor who has an intense desire for her team to be successful. And she takes every step possible to make sure that happens – in the locker room, the weight room, the classroom, the practice floor, the hours leading up to the game and of course what she’s accomplished in games throughout her career speaks for itself. And with all the hard work she’s put in to accomplish what she has on the floor, and still graduate early, speaks volumes about her attitude and how she approaches life beyond basketball.
She has been instrumental in building the program at UCA to one of the top mid-major programs in the nation, and I hate to say that anybody is impossible to replace – but she’s as close as I’ve ever seen and I sure don’t like to think about having to try
